Default 215/45/18s on back are OK? (xA)

I have an '06 xA with 18" TRDs. They are wrapped in 215/35/18s all around.

I know that I cannot put 215/45/18s on the front due to rubbing issues (based on my research), but can I put the 45 series on the back only?

I thought it would be OK (there really is alot of space) and might give a better ride and / or look to the car.

Thoughts???

thanks!

how much are you lowered? If you're at stock height, there won't be any problems.

Yup, stock height. Thanks for the reply.

As an aside, do you know if those would fit the front as well? Will there be any issues running 35s on the front and 45s on the back? Is that taboo?

only possible issue with 215/45 in front will be the inside wheel well plastic cover edges. I can't tell you if it'll rub but you can always trim those edges or run spacers. BUT you are at stock height, and nothing much happens there.

There is nothing wrong with running staggered fitment. Rear wheel drive guys do that all the time with the difference of staggered wheel widths too.
