Are they on the market yet? If so how much do they cost and how much is installation? Will I need aftermarket shocks?

i think you can use the stock shocks and still keep the ride feel similar to stock.

My question is...has anyone used the TRD springs on a tC with the OEM body kit?
Will the front end of the car be too low?

 

I just installed my TRD springs. They didn't make enough difference so we chopped! It ended up a 2'' drop front and 3'' drop back. My boyfriend kept asking "are you sure you want to cut this up?" Of course after they let the front down on the springs, they had to come back out and be chopped upon!!! I am tucking tire in the rear. (I have the upgraded 18'' seven spokes with Pirelli tires). The car still rides like a Cadillac, no joke! I've had an Accord hammered (it was lowered correctly I didn't cut the springs in it) and it rode like a horse and buggy! Answering the question, by installing the TRD springs the ground fx kit won't be too close to the ground imo.

well, i have a customer who had the ground effect kit, then lowered it with the TRD springs after he bought it, lildreamah is his sig on scionlife, but he didn't seem to have any trouble with it. you might wanna pm him.

 

TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development, not Toyota Ricing Development... just for future reference.

Yes, slammed cars look terrible. I much prefer a concentric-looking tire/wheel and wheel well.

Springs were $199 from my dealer, which I think is list price. When I had mine installed, they tried to charge me about $580 for installation. My salesman had given me a quote of $350-$375 for the springs including installation, so I ended up paying $375 total.

 

thanks.... im still considering getting it. the tc rides pretty high but comfortable but i just dont know if its worth it to drop it yet.

 

I only paid $165 including shipping for my "Toyota Ricing Springs". Installation was absolutely free! The tucked look isn't where it's at - it's how it handles in curves! An older man commented today at my sign shop about it looking like a $40,000 car. He thought it came that low as the sport look as he put it. He was quite surprised to know how much I gave for it. This man owns a pharmacutical distributing co in california, so yeah his opinion counted!!!

 

I just got my TRD springs installed and I love them. after the install I drove home over some pretty crappy stretches of highway, and I think the drive back was better than the drive to the shop. I could definately tell that the springs were stiffer, but they "reacted" quicker. the bumps that I felt significantly on the way there were quicker and seemingly smaller on the way back. I don't know if I'm making any sense here, but I like it better with the TRD springs than with the stock springs.

and it looks cooler lowered.

IMHO, you should get the TRD springs.
