summit racing shows the part # ENS-9-8122R to be for a rear application too! will bushings come with a TRD sway bar, or should these be added to the rear too?

 

The TRD and Progress rear bars use NO bushings. It just bolts underneath the axle beam.

 

if you want a true rear sway bar get a Whitelines.
i love mine and it ties the rear shock mounts to the rear axle beam.

 

Hey, that looks like mine. You forgot to turn the whiteline sticker around so it can be read from behind.

 

where did you purchase the whiteline sway bar? can't find it anywhere.

 

Is there an advantage to having bushings vs no bushings?

 

i have heard good things about the whitelines but...it just looks so 'added on'. the 90 degree piece from the shock mount, the vertical bushings and all those u-bolts. i think i would prefer something that looks cleaner (even though it's so low noboby will see it) and uses fewer attachments. still haven't decided, and open to suggestions.

 

i want the whiteline so bad.

 

just so you guys know that still isn't a "true" SWAY BAR. TRUE swaybars connect suspension / axle / control arms to the body/chassis

 

i believe too, that a true sway bar is actually called an "anti-sway" bar. i guess these things they make for the xB are really more like stiffeners (torque stiffeners). call it what ya wanna.....i want to go fast around corners!

That looks like a beefy unit. I've been grinnin' like an idiot since I installed the front bushings, and matched a used Hotchkis bar to them. Just about go-kart like.

HAHA, no but im planning to once the fix the bridge. they closed it off to locals traffic only so once they're all done, im heading over there with my video cam. it's like 5 mins from my house.

 

we should have a scion meet there.....its only like 35 minutes from me.......
