Default Noise after un-installing strut bar?

So I un-installed my TRD Strut Bar. Everything seemed to go fine, no problems. Drove to work, and didnt notice much of a difference until...

As Im getting close to work, I hear an almost metal on metal sound. Like if something was slightly rubbing and hitting against metal. I heard it everytime I accelerrated for a couple of blocks, then it just went away.

Not sure what to think of it, but I dont see how anything could've got messed up since nothing was really changed. Everything is nice and snug on the strut mounts.

Did you replace the black metal backing plates that you removed when you installed the bar?

Black Metal Backing Plates? The strut bar was installed by dealer, but I didnt see any backing plates.

Maybe thats it?! Might have to track some down.

thats what you are missing. You remove them when you install a strut bar. I am sure someone has a set around somewhere they will sell you cheap. You really need to get them on ASAP

i bet thats it. it's just a black metal plate that has a hole for each strut bolt, and the center has a hole as well. The dealer probably didn't return them to you, so thats what you need to fix the problem. My strut bar came with new ones that have attache points for the bar, so i'm not using mine. i'll give them to you if you want to pay shipping. just need to round them up.
