Default Wheels/Tires slipping on rim

I ended up getting a 2nd set of Pirelli Pzero nero M&S tires.. since the first turned out to be out of round. The 2nd set is on now, was smooth and great, then vibration showed up the 2nd day, took it back to discount tire.. and they found it out of balance.

I put some grease pencil marks between the tire and rim to see if the alignment of the marks moved (showing the tire moving on the rim), sure enough the tire is MOVING on the rim, and i am taking it very easy!!

Has anyone else had vibration issues? Anything that can be done to stop this movement?

lay off the burnouts. j/k. I had my front tires get way out of ballance on my xB. The guy at Discount was like, "how could you even drive this?" I did a mean burnout, but didnt think that the mighty 1.5 liter could spin the rim in the tire. I dont know, but its fixed now.

that is pretty funny a burnout on an xB.. but joking aside.. no burnouts at all.. just driving like a grandma, and they are still slipping.. am wondering if anyone with the stock tC wheels might experience this.. the stock xB's wheels i bet are steel?

am going to talk to scion about this.. am also wondering if the lubricant they use to put the tire on the wheel, wondering if that is causing it to slip?? i had this happen on my civic's lightweight aluminum wheels.. dealer ended up using fine grit and roughing up the bead so it couldn't slip.. but any other advice is welcomed..

i didn't think you were joking so they are aluminum and you dont have the tire slipping on the wheel? sounds like the only slippage occured when you were doing burnouts.. talking with the local scion dealer, they tell me it sounds like this tire shop used silicone based tire lubricant, NOT such a smart idea.. so taking it in to the scion dealer to have this crap removed off the tires and wheels. and done the RIGHT way.. sheesh.

Workmanship with servicing cars lately has gone to crap! so back to the dealer.. I never really trusted tire shops anyway, not with a brand new car.. thanks for the input i'll let ya know how it goes tomorrow
