Default goldline springs.. RATE THEM, HATE ON THEM PLEASE!

i wanna know the cons..
i hear spy this.. tanabe that.. eibach that..
well i like spys.. but goldlines are cheaper..
and everyone "claims" they're smoother than ___..
so how does it ride? im aware tanabe's a lil bouncy..
and spy's are a lil higher in front..(my car is on tanabes)
and my buddy's car is on spy's...

lets here all u LOVE AND HATE GOLDLINES..
tell me the good and bad..
NO SAG policy.. wahtever..
i just wanna know how they'll look if i roll on 18's..
i wanna go DF210, but if its bouncy. forget it..
ir ather be 1/4~1/3" higehr and smooth than to
have it bouncy.. i noticed my tanabes are bouncier
than stock.. anywhos.. bring it on =)

i love my goldlines....as anyone who has them will tell you...they are only 200 bucks installed, and are made by some of the techs from eibach...they are perfectly even in the front and back, and ride alot smoother than stock...they are a bright yellow color, which is cool cuz u can see them thru the rims...i'm running 18's with 225 35 18 tires...luv it luv it luv it

Default Goldline springs are smooth

My wife and I commute together and she sleeps on the way to work and home. She said she could feel the difference cuz she sleeps better. Bruce ( Yanges ) also came to the shop and took a drive in my car and you can ask him! He hasn't got any springs yet but since he rode in it, you would get a non-biased answer. :D

there you go, a professional opinion....you can tell by his picture above

seriously though, as dsidescion mentioned above, i did ride in his xB w/ Goldline's and it rode very nice! felt pretty close to stock to me and the drop looks great!

and subcode, i can not believe you have not gotten your $42 back yet....on second thought, i can as i just got my license plates after 4 months....

but if i had Munch's money, i would go with the Tein's...just make sure to get the ones with the remote for adjusting the dampening!

what i wanna do is.. goto a tsw meetup.
ride in goldlines, then spys, then df210s..
but will going around the parking lot be enuff of
a test?
i should bring the digital camera... i have a mount that
will fit on the headrest. and just have it record while the
car goes around the lot..

then i'll hop into another car.. make themt ake the same route..
and watch how the bumpyness of each spring affects the camera..
my digital camera has no "ANTISHOCK" feature.. so every bump
will be recorded... anybody with other suggestions??

right now i want DF210 cuz of the drop(i like it) but im scared its gonna be
too bumpy for my liking.. i dont wanna make a 200 dollar mistake...
as for goldlines vs spy.. im not concerned about price. im concerned to
which one is better?

We, the Sin City Scions(not official name,I made it up) have made a group buy with goldline, they gave us great price and i plan on selling them on my web site. People I have talked to said they were smooth. We plan to have a lowering day soon. Bill

ya it's all subjective - i've ridden in cars with the spy springs on the freeway, and in my car that has the tanabe's - i personally like the ride of the tanabes better - it's a bit softer, and while there is some "bounce" to the ride, the spy's felt very stiff and jarring to me, kinda like the stock suspension.

best bet is go the meeting, and have someone give you a quick ride on the freeway, and try out the different springs, and see how you feel

i know you'll be able to cop a ride on at least the tanabes, spy, eibachs and probably the goldlines also tomorrow night - should help your decision making process

here a basic comparison of height of Goldline's vs. stock:

that is Randy's xB w/ Goldline's on it from over at darksidemotoring.com and my stock height Polar xB...

check out the bumper & hood height and the gap over the tire....

i think i may go with the Goldline's after all....
