I've read through all the topics and have found tons of useful info.
Just want to see if anybody can give me a definitive answer whether this will fit or not.

Wheels:
18x7
+38mm Offset

Tires:
215/35WR18 XL

It's also lowered 30mm with the TRD springs that were offerred.

Will this work?
And if it will not work what will make it work?
The lowering kit hasn't been installed yet so if NOT using that helps let me know.

It will fit fine...although it is a little strange to see 18x7 wheels, usually the standard for 18 inch wheels is 7.5..

Anyhow, yes, it will work just fine.

 

When on tirerack and discount tire direct, if you search for your wheels by make the only ones that show up are 7, no 7.5 anywhere.

Also, rubbing seemed to be a very big issue with anything 7.5 and I was really happy with some 7s I found so I figured I would be all set.

When I say "by make" I mean by make of your car.
So when I put in Scion xB they gave me nothing bigger than 7.

We recommend your set up for non-lowered vehicles, however, things could get interesting depending on how much you lowered your vehicle.

 

It's lowered 30mm (however many inches that is).
They are the TRD springs that were offered when I bought it.
I have seen official pictures by Scion with the TRD springs and the 18' TRD wheels they offer as well.
I would assume that means it should work no problem?
Although I don't know the specs of their wheels.
I wouldn't image they were more than 18x7, and at 18x7 offset isn't really much of a factor, correct?

 

Hmm--I don't know what kind of car you have, but people run 8-9 inch wheels with zero rubbing problems whatsoever and are lowered more than 2 inches.

If you are content with them, that's all that matters- just kinda of strange to me seeing 18x7 wheels...almost like a bicycle rim, tall and skinny.

Oh yea--even the TRD Wheel packages in 18 inch are x 7.5--like I said, the usual for 18 inch wheels. If you want skinnier than even the factory option--that's all good, but see why I thought it was strange though?

 

So should I look into 18x7.5 then?
Like I said, when I put in my vehicle (Scion xB) on both TireRack and Discount Tire Direct, they didn't show any wheels more than 7 wide.
What kind of offset would I need if I were to go 7.5, keeping in mind it it lowered 30mm?

 

Optimally, you'd want an offset at +40 or LOWER...like +35, +30, +25 etc. Keep in mind, the lower the offset you get, the closer the wheel will sit to the fender of the car, instead of a high offset (+45) which would look like the wheel is tucked inside the wheelwell...also with a high offset like that, you WILL run into rubbing on the inner side of the rim, on the suspension of the car. So not only will lower offsets look better, but it will actually be safer because of the increased clearance of the rim/suspension.

Ride height really has no effect as far as offset is concerned, since we are only talking 1 to 2.5 inch drop range anyway.

 

I am looking at the Enkei PK6, but I can't for the life of me find the offset on them.

I don't get it.
Now I have no idea what kind of tires fit.
