Default Any SprintPCS employees?

Quick question for you if you are... I'm looking for someone willing to recommend me for a SERO plan. If you are willing, give me a shout (PM or e-mail).

(If you aren't Sprint, and don't understand what on Earth I'm talking about, that's OK - don't worry about it. If you ARE Sprint and don't understand I can explain - PM.)

At the very least I'll give the person helping the referral credits for the two lines I'll be turning up... :D

A better question: Anyone here willing to admit they are employed by SprintPCS?

Naw, Sprint employees are just like the rest of us, trying to do a job well.

C'mon, folks, there MUST be some of you out there - I'm really trying to beat the end-of-the-month deadline on this without random Googling.

Unless this guy quit in the last month, I am in possession of a valid SprintPCS Lead Sales Representive's email address. It looks as though that might be the only thing needed. However, when I put his email address in, the next page does ask for your phone number to check eligibility. I don't know if that means the Sprint guy had to enter your phone number in beforehand or what.

For those wondering what the SERO thing is, here's a link. http://delivery.sprint.com/m/p/sprin...epclanding.asp

Or you could call this guy and ask for a referral. He might remember me as he bent a store rule and got me a replacement phone and we kidded around about if he were to lose his job because of this, he could call me and I'd find him a new one, lol.

All that is actually required is the sprint employee's e-mail, and they really have to do nothing else. Each employee is allowed to make 6 such 'recommendations' per year (per the current rules).

So, while I personally have probably around 60 Sprint employee e-mail addresses, I'd much rather do this legitimately instead of blindsiding some poor soul who was going to use her last recommendation for her poor grandmother at the home...

Basically all I need is for a SprintPCS employee to say 'sure, here's my e-mail, go ahead and use it for this' and I will be perfectly happy.

(I don't want to just use a rep's e-mail address of their biz card or via a Google search for sprint e-mail addresses. I want to do this legit.)

Too bad you published the address, now there will probably be a bunch more folks grabbing SprintPCS e-mail addresses and trying to play the system - possibly even getting it shut down.

Oh, well, on my way to Portland.

Google/Sprint published it, . In addition, I don't think it takes a lot of internet savvy to figure out that it's easier to just Google "SERO Sprint" and click on the first damned link that pops up instead of going though the hassle of PMing you, right?

Not that this link hasn't been posted on numerous freebie/coupon message boards before, along with a whole slough of Sprint email addresses. If they haven't abused the system enough to encourage Sprint wise up on their SERO program, little ScionLife sure as hell won't, lol.

(I'll add that I didn't even think of it as employees only having X amount to give out)

But, oh, hey, you're welcome for trying to help you out. I even bothered to run out to my car and get the card.

Why I bother, I don't know.

http://www.fatwallet.com/t/18/680568/

go to www.sprint.com/sero and use the e-mail address savings@sprintemi.com with a valid zipcode. No more screwing sprint employees by using their e-mail address without their permission. There is a Santa Claus after all... HOHOHO
I used that "code" and gave them my phone number and zip and it worked. I'll have to keep that in mind when my father gets home from Alaska as he's looking for a new cell/plan.

Yeah, why didn't anybody give me their nightmare Sprint stories BEFORE I got service with them, lol.

This seems like a good deal though. I see it's plastered all over the internet, yet another thing I wish I had known before signing up, lol. I've always gotta keep remembering to check those freebie/deal/discount websites before making any purchase.

http://www.allabouterp.com/blogs/13/...tter-Deal.html

However there is a "backdoor" way to sign up for SERO without having a Sprint employee email.

The backdoor? To log into the SERO site -- use savings@sprintemi.com.

It appears that any combination of name@boostmobile.com will also work as a valid email address in order to gain access to the web site for the SERO plan.

FAQ: Is this illegal to do? How could it be? It's a widely available and advertised plan. Both Fatwallet and Slickdeals have extensive discussions on this and Sprint has had ample time to close any loopholes. This is a marketing plan by Sprint to add more subscribers without having to be seen as offering widespread discounts. After all, aren't all Sprint employees supposed to be referring? It's called -- selling..

I have read various online forums extensively on the SERO plan and so far have not seen a single person who claims their SERO plan was challenged solely for the lack of a valid employee email. (Some report that when they call they are challenged on the generic savings@sprintemi.com --- my advice is to be polite and call back and get another operator).

Important Note #1: Sprint SERO is NOT available in all markets. If the market you are within is served by a partner of Sprint then you may find that you are ineligible for this plan. This has been well documented on several discussion forums and many people complaining about trouble getting their SERO plan activated are not experiencing a customer service problem but rather are outside of the SERO market and subsequently being refused activation unless they pick a non-SERO plan.

Important Note #2: Sprint SERO is supposed to be for NEW Sprint subscribers only. Many [VERY] persistent existing subscribers have succeeded in switching their lines over to SERO however it typically involves multiple calls before they were able to accomplish a switch to SERO. Some subscribers have also reported that they were able to retain corporate discounts on top of the SERO plan. No way of telling how widespread this might be. For now consider it a huge YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Important Note #3: There are two huge discussion threads on the Fatwallet and Slickdeals discussion forum that talk EXTENSIVELY about how to get this deal and maximizing rebates and even how to get free perks such as 6pm Nights and Weekends and FIMF (First Incoming Minute Free).
Below are the links to the currently active threads:

IMPORTANT: Negotiate all of your perks BEFORE your 30 day trial period runs out. During this time you have enormous bargaining power with Sprint. If you ask politely and persistently you can probably get 6pm nights and weekends (presently a $ 10/mo add-on), as well as unlimited text messages (if they aren't already included on your SERO plan).

"savings@sprintemi.com" is a new one - previously it was savings@sprint.com, but that one was discontinued months ago and they reverted to requiring an actual Sprint employee e-mail address. Looks like they have once again instituted a 'special' code allowing more general access to this.

Now if their server didn't keep crapping out in the middle of orders...

This must be in your area, because I been with Sprint since 1999 and won't take anyone else. I'm not an employee or anything, just a customer and they've been great. Recently our employer and them got some partnership going, so the rates are the lowest I can find too.

It is widely regarded that SprintPCS is among the worst customer service organizations on the planet. I'm sure there are some pockets of phone service where they are infallable and the best available, but it's most likely a condition of accident rather than strategically planned. The lotto of cell service if you will. We could also file this happenstance under the heading: Blind Squirrel finds Nut.
