Default What's with the prices in the classified section?

I go through the PPC sales every so often to browse. Every time I check it out I am shocked at the prices people are asking for their used gear. Maybe I'm way off on this but I think that most of the people selling their used parts don't have a very realistic price in mind. It really grinds my gears that they are trying to sell a used item for 80%-90% of what it would cost brand new; it makes me want to punch them in the face.

Whether a part has been used for 1 mile or 10,000 miles there is no way to distinguish how "used" a part is. "Like new" ISN'T "new" otherwise it'd be called "new".

Shipping is something else altogether, but as far as basic price goes... don't ____ in my pocket and tell me it's raining.

Yeah people here are ridiculous when it comes to selling their used crap. I will look PPC every once in awhile to get a good laugh because people actually buy this stuff when they could just buy it new for like 20$ more.

maybe the price is a used price, but they had to increase it since it passed rigorous testing. that testing costs money, you know.

These guys are really ____ing me off. It's not right to try and get more money for a used part or stereo component than what you can buy it for BRAND NEW from freaking AMAZON.

It ____es me off even more when dumbasses actually buy these things because they refuse to take 30 seconds and do a google search.

Will the mods ban me if I go in there and post new product links in their ads?

Pretty much. They'll tell you not to hassle the seller of their asking prices.

Didn't you know that these "used" products are actually "professionally broken in" so in reality you aren't buying a used product just a better product that's worth the extra money.

I guess some people like to spend more money.

i say, if the person buying is dumb enough to pay extra for used stuff.... let em. that gives them less power(money) to affect the rest of the world with. a fool and his money are soon parted(no pun intended). the less resources stupid people have, the better. i can't stand stupid people, i can't stand laws put in place to protect them, and i despise people that rail against our government because it didn't protect them enough. if you are too dumb to exist, you deserve to be taken advantage of(if not eliminated) through your own stupidity.

I got a couple good deals on here and most of the time, you can low ball, ahem, excuse me, haha, make a reasonable offer. make sure you point out that it's used, you live far, you have other sellers working with you, if its been posted a while, they might take a lower offer cuz they just want to get rid of it and let em know you're broke, but most of the time I really am broke
okay why did i tell you the secrets of gettin' a good deal? anyways, there are some good deals on there which is why they're deals, but at the same time, bad ones.
good luck finding them :]

Apparently, you guys never studied economics. If you have a problem with prices, then don't buy! If nobody buys anything, everyone will drop their prices! The problem is that we have a lot of saps on here.
