Hi all,
I am looking to drop my 06 box about an inch or so, but more importantly looking for a noticeably smoother ride. I have looked in a few threads, but I am unfamiliar with brands and what they have to offer. I don't have much knowledge about what to look for, or even a right direction for that matter. I was hoping I could get some good advice or leads from the community. I am looking to drop about $300 on this, so far I have been told that springs should do the trick and probably run me about $80. Well if you have any input please do so. Thanks in advance

Tein H-Techs will offer the drop you are looking for. Everything else is in the 2" range. I have seen a couple of sets being sold here on the SL classifieds for half of retail ( bout ( $125 ). They will definately help with the suspension issues you have with the stock suspension.

Do a search on Monroe Sensormatics. People say they smooth out the ride after a drop on springs.

 

I went with H-techs, and was please with the nice ride, just want a little more drop. So I am swithing to S-techs soon. I'll let you have mine for 125.00, they have just under 5,000 miles on them.

 

I liked my H.Techs... they were nice.

 

I loved my H Techs over stock as i wasnt having lower back pains after hour long trips any longer. But i started hanging out with those who were dropped and i still looked stock.

The Monroes arent always going to work. I had them on my box with the Progress Springs ... and i was rubbing big time in the rear. I also had OTG shims. Stock shocks are just fine with me. If you are lowered and you do have shims or are running a larger tire you may run into the same issues.
