Hi folks,

Don't know who follows the news closely. What exactly is going on in Burma? From my fuzzy recollections, the Burmese government is killing / oppressing / torturing (Buddhist?) monks because.... they (the monks) don't support the military regime? Are the monks formenting rebellion against the military / gov't in Burma? Are the monks NOT enthusiastically supporting the military gov't and that's why the gov't is persecuting them?

*sigh* too many bad things happen in the world.
