Seriously, if youre still rocking the phone modem - give up your pager, your tape deck, your MC Hammer pants and join the rest of us in the 21st century.

hey some of us out in sticks are lucky to be able to get 56k.
I can pay about $45/month for half a meg download. It does no where near that speed but its 45 a month.
For about 80 a month you can get huges net which is ..I tihnk 800k.
so yeah a 56k for 5.99 a month is great.
I just wish we atleast had DSL.
Weird thing is at work we have a T3 connection and that about 15 miles away further out than where im at.

I don't understand the complaint. There are still a lot of areas that can't get a high speed connection. Satellite is a available but it is expensive and not the best connection. There are also many people who don't use the Internet enough to justify the high cost of high speed.
Your complaint is the equivalent of Ferrari and Porsche owners telling us Scion drivers to give up our 4-bangers and join them in "real" cars.

It's NOT a complaint. It's a warning for slower-internet users to avoid the threads if they don't wish to sit around waiting for the thread to load due to an image-intensive post that was made.

I had forgotten about the original topic at hand here... I thought we were talking about threads with a *WARNING 56k* label on them.

it sucks living out so far because its just not available to use yet, blame it on the renecks who dont even have a computer, companies wont spend that kind ofmoney to install lines out this far forjust a few users
