Hey, I use Steam (Valve) for a lot of my gaming, it's like a central thing for it. Does anybody else on SL use it, and if so, anyone want to start a community group in Steam's Community? I'd join!

Ive been trying to play TF2 since release. Unfortunately it isn't working on my comp. I can play the single player HalfLife2(my time killer lately), but when I try to run TF2 it tells me that "Hl2.exe has stopped working".

There has been no help from Steam or Valve with it, and I have scoured the internet checking every possible fix. Nothing so far.

 

It sounds like the file(s) could've been corrupted, probably either during D/L or some conflict since then.

Try uninstalling then reinstalling Steam, using your same username and PW to connect. Then re-download TF2 and hopefully it will work. If not, I don't know.

What hardware are you running, do you know? Vid card, processor; also what operating system?
