Stock Guys - Huge props for Michelin Exalto A/S!
Just decided to break out the "winter" factory alloy wheel set-up (yes, some of us do that in Cal, too - we DO get monsoonal rains, after all!), and bought some new tires for them, since I can't stand the stock Goodyear LS's it came with. Besides that, the incredibly loud, harsh riding G-Force Sports were starting to get to me anyway!
After poring over the tire reviews on TireRack.com, I went with the Michelin Exaltos.
All I can say is - WOW!
These may well be the quietest, smoothest riding tires I've ever owned. Even inflated to 32 psi, the plushness of their ride is unbelievable, even with my Konis and 2" drop (although admittedly, I'm used to the VERY firm sidewalls of the G-Force tires). It has transformed the ride of the car - even better than when it was stock. And they're so much quieter, that I can now actually hear my intake and exhaust!
They handle really well, too - not nearly as good as the extreme stick of the G-Forces, but much, MUCH better than the crap stock Goodyears.
Did I mention that so far I'm getting about 2-3 mpg better than the wider BFGs, too?!
I also got them in a 195/60-15, which I'm convinced is the size Toyota should have used as the factory stock size. They look much better on the car, fit the wheels well, and have a little more usable width.
I couldn't recommend these more for someone wanting to stick to a stock-type tire!

Well, I'm posting a follow-up on these only because while I know its not too exciting for a lot of you guys, based on what I see on the street, there's GOT to be a lot of people running just stockers out there!
Anyway, it's raining cats and dogs out here today, an early start for the first big rain of the season, so I'm glad I slapped these puppies on so far ahead of time after all!
And all I can say is, "WOW"!
Where the stock (crap) Goodyears feel like ice skates when the pavement is even moist, these Michelins felt like I was on completely dry concrete in a heavy downpour, and even through a few large puddles on the way to the office this morning. I'm really looking forward to putting them through their paces on a longer drive, on the freeway and some typical hydroplane conditions.
Two major thumbs up so far!
