Hey guys and gals i have a few questions for anyone who lives in the Detroit area. I live in Southern California and my new "friend" is from Detroit. He wants me to go back home with him for a few days and I want to know a little more about where I may be going! What is it like this time of year? I understand there is a huge Middle Eastern population there which I think is great and Ive heard alot about there Museum there and I wanted to see if anyones been there?

Please someone tell me about the place!!! I know it cant possibly be as big as Cali but I think this could be an interesting trip!

yeah what he said, and u cant compare cali w/ detroit as its a state to a city. id take michigan over cali though, scary that i said that. anyway...
detroit is pretty crappy, but has been getting better, and the outskirts r nice.
assuming ur coming sometime soon, u better invest in a new coat, cuz sd and det clothing r not gonna get it done
greek town will probably be ur most visited area, and may as well bring ur passports and birth certificate to go into canada and drink legally, plus its a good time there also. gotta go south to go into canada.
on tg day the lions r at home vs the packers and that would be a good time.

where in socal? my folks live in SD. i would just say its a lot colder and further spread apart. and the people are not as chill. but i do love Detroit. can you elaborate on what city you are visiting?

 

I would be going to Dearborn. And I live in San Diego right now

 

should be fine. dearborn is the largest middle eastern pop. in the US i think. go to Lashish its the original out there and its very good eats.
