How much are you looking to spend?

You could get him an internet tablet. They're relatively inexpensive for their capabilities. Unless he doesnt use the net much...then...Idk....try sharper image and pick something outta there.

^ thats the best one IMO. I'm interested in getting myself one. Its just a little computer that you only use to get on the net and do basic things. Theres bigger and smaller ones out, just google around for internet tablets. But you just use wifi and boom, you're online. Also you can use that nokia tablet right there to make Voip calls. (Really cheap or even free calls over the internet.)

I'm getting my dad one of those digital picture frames and doing a formal photo shoot with my kid brother.

Also finally replacing his glass door that I threw my brother into when we where kids and banged it up a little... my dad always left it up as a joke but really, I think it's time it comes down.

Get him a gift card to a store that sells stuff he likes. Gift cards are awesome to get from people. That way he gets the fun of shopping for something he actually wants instead of something someone else thought he might like. Lowes, Cabela's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Sears.....you get the picture.

lol that's why I hate gift cards-- at least if an item was on sale, the person doesn't necessarily know it was on sale hehehehe

then again its the thought that counts...not the amount of money you spent

ya, good ideas so far, imo I feel a gift card is a little impersonal but thats just me, and ya the amount of money is known, he just bought a 50" plasma HD so thats outta the question, I had considered a blu ray plater, but after reading and researching them one scratch on the disc and its pretty much ruined and I figure in like 6 months it will come down in price pretty significantly so seems like I would be ripping myself off he has a million watches, we are Vintners so he doesn't really wear a tie very often he has a million watches that he never wears, seems most of the things we get him end up not being utilized so thats why this has turned into such a dilemma, haha not only for me but basically from my entire family! lol

Maybe get him a gift certificate to go somewhere, maybe a driving/racing course or something? Something you can do together or maybe get the whole family in on it. I'm sure theres something liek that in Cali. Here we've got the richard petty experience. My mom bought her b/f that. Its like 30 laps at the speedway in some sweet **** race car.

i really dont know much about surround sound systems unfortunitly. could go to your local best buy and ask them... or do some searching on your own. i can do some research tomorrow for you if you need it!

and thinkgeek is more of a GEEK shop. although it is so sweet!
