Default Question about wheel/tire/spring combo

Ok i just picked up some 18x7.5 rims with a 42 offset and I am sitting on a TRD drop. Now i ended up with 225/40/18 tires under since the shop had nothing in 215/35, 215/40 or 225/35.

Now my question is this am I going to have any issues with the rear?

I am not running any spacers at this time and everything fits under the wells ok but i did notice that near the front of the rear tire the cross bar comes very close now i don't show any sort of tire gouging yet but it's only been around 100 miles

And if I do need to put some spacers how much or what other mods could I do.

Thanks in advance

i have 7.5 " 18's on my box. I'm running 225/35/18 I have not had any issues. i'm dropped on tein s techs and echo shocks.

with the trd springs you should be ok with a 40 series tire. if you decide to go lower i would sugest getting a 35 series tire.

All I'll say on this matter is NEVER let a tire place sell you only tires they have in stock. Is this the only tire place in town. It's almost always better to get the tires online then have them mounted locally.
According to my tires size calculator. Your 225/40/18s are 1.2"s taller and .4" wider than the correct size of 215/35's.
How much space do you have between the tread of the rear tires and the sideskirt? It's gotta be hella tight.
