Got the MobileHID set, 5000k, installed it during the holidays, but finally got around to taking some pics. I know many people inquire about the '08 projector's cutoff and what not, so I hope this helps.










and here is just a the parking lights only. I used PIAA Extreme White bulbs, and I find that they match the 5000k HID bulbs *very* well.

Nice! I got an '08 too and that's the setup I was leaning towards getting.

 

I just got my 6000ks and I am putting them in this weekend.

I actually got my PIAA Exreme White bulbs from a Off-Roading specialty store called Dirty Parts, here in West Los Angeles. They also happen to be a PIAA certified distributor. But I'm sure you can find PIAA bulbs online or eBay.

 

That's not that bad of a cutoff is it? I thought the 08 projectors and HIDs didn't work out that well. Like Anzos and HIDs

I like 6000k......but i have 8000k and i like it better.....

 

Wow, I should have gone with 5000K, looks the same as 6000K but puts more light out.

 

Yea the lower the number....the more you're able to see or whatever

 

the '08 cutoff is not bad at all; it's wayyyy better than an unmodified anzo cutoff. granted, it won't be as nice as my mom's acura TL cutoffs, but it is designed for halogen bulbs after all.

 

It's not that the cutoff is bad, it's that the beams are pointed inwards. The 08 lights have 2 huge hot spots right in the center of the cutoff, which is horrible, if they were pointed outwards more, then the cutoff would look a lot similar to an Acura TL.

 

ahhh well it's a very nice setup btw. Makes me think twice about getting 5k vs 6k.

Does the little bubble in the 08 headlights bother anyone?

 

At first it did but i dont care about it now

 

i honestly dont even notice the bubble...

 

Wow. Good job on those parking lights. That looks good lit with both lit up.
