Default Tring to decide between springs...

I live in New England with horrible roads, heres my considerations;Tanabe DF210,Tein H-Tech or Tein S-Tech.These are all used ,but the price is good,Ive read the reviews in the parts section here but I just wanted to get someones input ,the Tanabe DF210 seem like a good deal but Im concerned with a 2+ inch drop around here,I guess my point is if Im going to go to the trouble of putting in springs I want to see a diff in height. The other side of that coin would be the fact that these are USED and have probably all settled by now???

The DF210 drop is really, really nice on the xA... S.Tech would look good too.

The 1" drop offered by the NF210, H.Tech, TRD, etc. is just not low enough. The xA has significantly more wheel gap to begin with.

Err, I asked a similar question and was told springs just hold the car off the ground, the shocks are what controls the smooth or roughness of the ride. Where 64 and 95 meet in Richmond, va, its rough too. The road is a patchy is a plaid shirt.

Default The DF210s do give the best look...

No dought if Im putting the $$$ out to do this I want that huge gap closed, but I also dont want to start having to crawl over small dumps and driveways ,so my question at this point would be ,will it bottom out with the DF210s?I rarely have more than 2 other people in the car with me.Im running the factory Enkies 17 inch( RS1)for rims ,with 215 40 17s .Thanks for all the input.

That's not entirely true. Crappy springs can definitely impact the ride quality. Not to mention that if you're lowering the car on the stock shocks/struts, you're effectively shortening the stroke of the dampers, which will bring them out of their optimum zone. This shortened stroke will cause a slightly rougher ride.

However, IMO, the ride of the xA/B is stiff to begin with, the aesthetic and performance benefit of lowering far outweighs the slight degradation of the ride.

So, in short, springs do have an effect on ride quality. I happen to prefer the ride on mine vs stock.

You'll do just fine with the DF210s or the S-Techs :]
