Ok, I'm wondering if any of you guys have had or heard of this happening. About 3-5k miles ago on my gf's TC (now at 44k) the rear wing cracked. But the crack was a PERFECT line right down the length of the spoiler at the back of it. Its like the wing is just glued together in two pieces and the glue decided to seperate. Anyway, it was retarded, and the of course the dealer/Toyota wont cover it under warranty. Nor will they goodwill it. Which IMO is rediculous as this should not happen and the car is in basically perfect condition otherwise. Rant off.

The spoiler/wing I don't know. I just called it the "wing" because of the two options stock.

That sucks dude, but look at it this way, its an excuse to get rid of the fugly ped. spoiler and get a lip spoiler instead!

 

people might have been using it as a shelf and putting things on it in the parking lot, but it ain't strong enough to support the weight. lol.

 

Its not really a "modded" car so the spoiler wont change. And she didn't try another dealer, but she halfway knows the service manager at this one and even he "couldn't do anything"

With Honda I had the clutch and full soft-top replaced when I was out of warranty. Oh well...but anyway, is this the first you guys have heard of this happening? I was wondering if it may be somewhat common?

 

looks like a sign...maybe a CF lip spoiler in the the near future..

u guys should know the pedestal spoiler creates massive downforce!

very beneficial in keeping all the power to the ground.

 

I don't have any pics now, but I try and get some. As for downforce! OMG I drove a regular TC...it was like night and day, I couldn't believe that I was able to do a 25mph off ramp at 100! REALLY its TRUE

 

^ Clarification - the 100mph was WITH the ped. I could only do ~ 50 without it.
