lots of trimming. lots of zip ties

Make sure you pick up a roll of 3M molding tape. Its thicker tape that has padding.

Take your time.

Check my profile pics.

I did my before paul (dakine) did

what i did was from the bottom grille, i trimmed out hte honeycomb part from the tabs or whatever. i kept all of the honeycomb part. then i got two bolts, glued em on to the inside of my bumper one on each side, and placed the bottom grill so that the bolts went through one of the holes, and tightened it with a nut. i taped the chrome trimming before doing all that though.

have my bottom grill laying around my trunk. . .

i guess ima juss try to debage it the v.1 way

im still debating whether i should take off the bumper
or not for the easier access but im juss scared of
seeing my car "all jacked up" without a bumper!

any words of encouragement?

so i finally debaged my grill. . .

i was sort of impatient and juss did
it the v.1 way

but being the n00b that i am. . . it didnt come out
as great as i had imagined

i guess i cut "a little too much" and now u can see the gaps
inbetween the grill and the bumper
i did use some zip ties to tighten it up a bit and tried to
lower the grill closer to the top part of the bumper
but that was as much as i could.

i guess i'll sport my grill for a while until i get enough mula
for the vrd grill

i guess it isnt that bad, but i juss thought
i wouldnt have the two big gaps
seeing that juss about no one else has them
as bad as i do
ah well. . .
i pretty much trimmed the honeycomb
with a freaking mini hacksaw!!! ( i didnt
have anything else to use) then when i was
going to smooth out the edges with some sandpaper,
i decided to use a wire cutter to trim the jagged pieces. . .
i shoulduved used that in the first place!!!! nice clean cuts!
i guess it was a cool diy mod for a n00b

damn scion_jon, i wish i had the skills to fotochop!

I did it a different way, no zip ties. Just make slots on the bottom of the grille for the chrome trim tabs, push the two pieces together, and mount!

Old pics taken back in March of '06:

That's my old grille by the way, and my very first mod back in '06.
