I just got an 08 tC and since I had to wait a month for delivery (Blue Ribbon Metallic in manual), I was at least able to specify that I wanted NO HOLES in my bumper. Now, as a precaution for when I get my eventual ticket for no front plate, I'd like to purchase some sort of front-mount that doesn't require holes and is compatible with the 08 models. Then, I could throw it on real quick for the "fix it" tickets and then remove it again later.

I know about the one sold from Eight 08 Customs that looks like this

and I'm sure it is a quality product, but it's not compatible with an 08. 08 tCs don't have a honeycomb design on either the bottom or top grille.

CLIFF NOTES: Need front plate mount for 08 tC. (The one above is not compatible w/ 08.

 

my holder is actually made of plastic held together by nuts and bolts.

If it's that big of a deal, swap in the 07 grill.

i really wish i couldve told my dealership no front tags. buti got my car right off the truck, and they did it before i had a chance to say anything. ugh.

i agree with you though. i hate them. i have mine attached to my lower grille. kinda pointless at this point since theres holes i know...but i hate having the plate smack in the middle of my bumper.

 

How bout i dont have one on my car at all....its actually in my glovebox.....LOL.....i havent had a front plate on any of my cars....

 

ive thought about doing it, but i really dont feel like getting pulled over.

ive gotten pulled over plenty of times for dumb and questionable things...ive always gotten out of a ticket though.

but i think it'd be hard to explain why i dont have a front plate when there's plugs in the holes. haha. "oh...it just fell off. those plugs were holding it on..............yeeeeah"

just zip tie it to the grill if you ever get a fix it ticket... thats what ive been doing, only gotten one in 2 years and ive been pulled over way more time than that lol

 

i told 3 people at the dealership when i got my car i didnt want holes in my bumper, they all told me "ok no problem" and when i picked up my car, the front plate was on there w/ some big ___ screws
