Default Our RLS 1.0 is wrecked, so can we update H/L to newer year?

After all this time, our pristine RLS 1.0 was wrecked last week So while its in the shop, can we update to newer year tC headlights? I think the newer ones look better, IMHO. Are these newer ones Plug and Play?
What years?

PLMK

Put your tow hook cover back on!! You ain't JDM. (j/k)

Sorry to hear about your RS. Those pix make me sad.
If your talking about the 'o8 head lights, you're going to need new harnesses.

For the harness, you have two choices:

If you don't want to cut/splice your stock harness, there's a plug and play one here for $40+shipping.

If you don't mind cutting/splicing your stock harness, you can get this one for way cheaper.

or you could do 9006 HIDs with H11 bulbs. Pretty sure you don't need a new harness if you go that route.

I am waiting to have a fight with the body shop/insurance about that now, we pointed out about that and they just proceeded like they know everything , good thing I have pics, I know the 1.0 grills are way more expensive IF you can still even get them?????

So ECS tuning sells the adapter harness, I bought some VW wiring adapter harnesses from them a while back...we also have a wrecked up 07 jetta, happened two days earlier..... the older daughter did that one, the younger did the 1.0...

man, shush you...i was in an accident in june, sitting at a stop sign minding my own business and all of a sudden a kid in a f150 rearended me, totaled my mazda3 and caused a FIVE car accident. what was HE doing? texting someone.

TWO days later the SAME THING happened to my sister. she was sitting at a light and a kid rear ends her eclipse, totaling it too. what was the driver doing...HE was on his phone.

its not always girls, thanks.

anyway..to the OP. good luck with getting your cars fixed...and if i were you, i'd get your kids off your insurance asap. let them get their own policy.

Here's the opportunity to switch to HIDs. If you get the 08 headlights, you can do HIDs with a 9006 connection and the H11 bulbs. Good luck with getting everything back to normal.
