Default Rim issue HELP please!

hey wassup guyz! iam new to this. i just recently bought some sportmax rims 002's not the classics but the one's with the 1.5 inch lip. also i have recently bought some tein s tech spring which will bring it 1.7 front and 1.5 rear drop. i just wanted to know if i need spacers for this the rims in the rear they are 16x7 n a 38 offset and also i was thinking of getting 205/45 or 50 series tires! but i was confused of some threads say 40 series are the way to go! and i dont really wanna deal with cutting anything. and now iam debating which size of tire will fit right and not rub. so i would appreciate it if ya'll can help!

thanx!

You will have absolutely no rubbing issues at that offset. The 45 series Tires would be ideal. 50 would look pretty chunky, and 40 would look rediculous (too thin of a sidewall for a 16)

A 205 os a little wide for a 7" wheel. I am running 195 on a 8" wide, and that would be almost 2 much for your 7". 7" only converts to 177 mm. So a 175 or 185 would look best, otherwise they willl look ballooned.

thanks for the reply!

yea that sounded a bit more clear to me! but what do you think about the rear? you think i would have to put a 5 or 10mm spacers and call it a day just to be safe? just to get it a little bit more flushed. and some other thread said that might have to camber it for some reason? which is a option that i would'nt wanna do.

thankx!

yea i know that it would look balloned! but i dont really wanna have that strecthed look! i was thinking about it. but not really sure though. would i have to keep putting air in the tires if i do decide to get those? iam just worried that it might just damaged the lip! it's better to SAFE then SORRY ! espeacially the fact that i live in california and there are a CRaP load of potholes where i stay!

185 wouldn't be stretched at all. Almost perfectly square. And with a 50 series, there is enogh sidewall to protect the lip.

so if i were to get the 185 or 195's would those be like a special tire or something since it's gonna be a 50 series? would you also recommend a 45 series? wouldn't there be a big gap between the tire and fender even if it was to be lowered? do you think it's be noticeable? i just wanna make look simple and not too big of a gap! if you know what iam sayin.

thankx!

with a 38 offset and 16x7 rim. it should rub or get close to the beam right? and now it plays on the tire size?
