sportmax 501s 16x8 +15 offset





i had to remove my 15mm hub shims and take everything out of that back.
i drove it home from the shop with the shims and all my old wheels and tires in the back (only a few blocks) and it rubbed the hole way, well i sould say scraped and smoked would be more like it.
im still in the middle of some other suspention work (tein ss-p coilovers and -3 rear camber) so im not quite done yet.
the tein coilovers will be here wednesday and the camber ...... well .............i got them from keoki and he always seems to be a bit slow shipping me stuff.
so when ever i get it all together ill post some more pics.

 

Hmm... what are you doing with the 15x7?

 

sell them i guess.
the wheels only have about 8k on them and the stock tires have almost 16k.
i rotated the crap out of them so they have real good even were.
i have a set of 5 all matching

 

the 16's look good! i have a 15X8 set in silver.

The 16x8 certainly look nicer, but I even like the 15x7. Granted, the lip isn't as nice, but they're decent.

 

they both look good but I like the 16s, so with no spacer do they rub?

 

well it rubs a very very little bit on hard bumps, but i also have taken "everything" out of the back.
my coilovers will be here tomarow so ill be able to bring it up a bit untill i get my camber from keoki

and it is a big difference, you should see it in person!
ive still got my old wheels that i plan on selling so the difference in $ isn't that much.

 

the 16's in person look like 17's their a big difference in my 15's

 

i agree.

about the $, i only got the wheels the first time because i didn't want to spend $ on new tires.
so the first time i only spent like $450 (i but 5 at a time, i hate stupid stock spairs)
sportmax wheels a inexpencive and at prices like that i could buy a new set every year

Hell, I don't really know. What rubber is on there now? And I'd only really need 4 of em.

I would have a hard time giving up my TRDs but I like these.

 

Ian, just get these for the winter time and save the TRDs for summer. Please don't get rid of the TRDs.

 

I know, Jeff... I promised that my tax return would pay off bills... but who knows.

I don't think I'll ever get rid of the TRDs.
