Also for 2008, IFO is now a POINTS series for heads up drag racers and car club show contestants. Heads up racers will receive 10 points for every elimination round won and car clubs will receive 10 points for each club award won (Representation and/or Participation) at all IFO events. Point standings will be posted on the IFO website after each event. At the end of the year, three winners will be awarded, one for the race points winner, one for Best Club Participation show winner, and the other for Best Club Representation show winner. Race points winner will receive a $2000 LightningMotorsports.com gift certificate. Car club show winner for Best Representation will receive $1000 cash. Car club show winner for Best Club Participation will receive $1000 cash. EACH winner will receive a 5' trophy, car club/racer bio space on the IFO website, plus much more (additional sponsor support to come later). Points info (rules, standings, payout increase updates, etc.) will be posted on the IFO website soon. All heads up racers and car clubs that compete at IFO regularly, this is for YOU!

There is also a new race class for the series, Outlaw Quick 4, which is basically an "anything goes" heads up class for all import/sport compact bodies/engines (hot rod, air cooled, even out of manufacturer engine swaps allowed). Series rules on http://www.ImportFaceOff.net
