Tanabe DF210 or Tein S-Tech for 215/45/17s
can i get some pictures please. i would really appreciate it.
Im going to be running 17" wheels with 215/45 tires and just do not know which set to get.
both are $160 shipped brand new so cost isn't an issue.
im worried about ride height. i mean i want to get low, but not TOO LOW. i want it to sit right and not have a bunch of gap between the tires and fenders. i dont want to be totally snowplowing in the winter and still want to be able to have 4 people in the car.
will the S-Tech's be enough of a drop on 215/45/17s?
pictures would be great!

I thought my S-techs looked great with that setup. With that size rim and tire they fill out the wheel wells nicely. Now that I'm running 15s they S-techs just don't drop it enough.
I wouldn't recommend running them in the winter.

yikes for me that is LOW! it looks good and everything but i just cannot be that low especially with my driveway. yea i know what youre thinking...just move somewhere else lol.
thank you for these posts but the guy im buying the wheels and tires from now says he is out of the 215/45/17s and is offering me 205/45/17s instead which i dont know if im too happy about.
will the 205/45/17s still look ok with the S-Techs?

since the guy was out of kumho 215/45s, he offered my Nankangs. i said no way. so he refunded me some money and gave me 205/45s instead. im very happy with the results.
i dropped it with the S-Techs.

these pics are right after the install. springs should settle in about a week.

this is a bad angle for showing the true look of the tint. it looks extremely dark in that picture. all i did was tint eh front windows to 20% to match the back. it looks perfect to me. dark enough for privacy but not dark enough to make a cop want to talk to you about how dark they are ;-)
and i didnt get the nankangs. i heard horrible things about them so i got the kumhos instead. i feel bad because this thread title says 215/45 but the tires i got were the 205/45 series since he didnt have kumhos in the bigger size.

You could have gone with a more common size of 215/40/17s and been right on size wise. How do they ride? My last set of 17s were Kuhmo 711s and I loved them.
everything feels fine so far. the ride is a little more bumpy than the stock size wheels and tires i had on before. i took a tight offramp yesterday that i had driven a bunch of times before with the stock springs and tires and HOLY COW what a difference! the box just grips in the turn and there isnt that huge feeling of body role like before.
