Default 18x7.5 question

hey i'm new to the forums so hi!! I have 2 questions. I bought a set of rims on ebay that are 18x7.5 w/40mm i've been trying to find proper tire fitment without to much rubbing with the trd 1.5" lowering springs. should i go 215/35/18? or will I still rub with that?

thanks for the help!!

With that drop, you could get away with the 40 series... it will give you a meatier sidewall.

does TRD lower 1.5"? I thought it was a less than 1" drop. in that case I would go with the 215/40s, due to noise, etc. Also what type of rims are the eBAY ones, are you concerned about bending with a skinny tire?

i looked it up and the trd lowering springs drops the xb ~1" I was just concerned with puting 18's on my box and rubbing the fenders. the wider the tire the happier i'd be so do you think i'd be better with the 215/40 vs. the 215/35?

actually you will have ALLOT of room with the 215/35's I rub VERY little with this set up and I am dropped 2.5. With a 1.5 your gonna have allot of room. Allot.

I'd get 40s... I could've run 40s on my 2" drop without issue. You'll be just fine and you'll be protecting the wheels more.
