How long did your stock tires last?
I went to get my alignment checked the other day and the guy told me that I needed new tires. My car is only 28,000 miles old. I had the tires rotated at 15,000. Guy tld me that I should have them rotated every 5,000. That seems a bit excessive. Tell me your story/thoughts

I'm getting a set of 195/60/15s from here and for Kuhmo ecstas they are only 45 bucks a tire. I'm putting them on a set of Nippon GT3s.

The OEM Goodyears are absolute crap. When I started hydroplaning at 32K, I did some digging on how long these stupid things last, and apparently I'm at the HIGH end. And yes, I rotated my tires every other oil change.
As a replacement, I got a set of Yokohamas, and let's just say, I didn't think it was /possible/ for an xB to handle this good. Love 'em love 'em love 'em! Oil-slicked Atlanta highway, 80 MPH, raging downpour...it was like dry pavement. Oh, those Japanese...they sure know how to make......stuff...

My goodyears have been great so far. Nice in the rain and snow. They dug thru 8-10 inches of snow like nothing. Other than the size being wrong I liked them. We should have gotten 195/60s tho cause then I could mount them up on my new 15X7 rims that are coming and they wouldn't look all stretched out. I'm getting some Falkens this time around.
