John O'Hara, general sales manager for ad sales and marketing for the Adult Swim network, said "Assy" will allow the Toyota youth brand a chance to speak directly to young men through a media they enjoy, TVWeek.com reported Saturday.
"Today's young adult is so heavily marketed to through multiple forms of media, it's imperative that when they spend time at Adult Swim we deliver the same irreverent, humorous approach in our custom marketing content as they value within our programming lineup," O'Hara said.
"Assy" will premiere Sunday on Adult Swim, a block of network shows on the Cartoon Network. The animated series follows the life of a cop without trousers.

This show is crap, and it is not new. The new season started Sunday. I love Adult Swim and a majority of the shows, but Assy McGee is not one of them. Ive seen the commercials for "brought to you by Scion", but I really dont see what sets this apart from any other commercial deal.

I agree, if anything, they should use ATHF as the way to advertise and sponsor it. Heck, do what boost mobile did and use the product in an episode and made the car a character.

They should have just done a Adult Swim partnership in general instead of choosing one show (which happens to be the worst). I would think that associating the brand with the anime sector of A-S would do well too

They have already done that on Frisky Dingo. There was a show where "killface" went on a talk show and all they wanted to talk about was the tC. I love Adult Swim and Assy is not the best show at all, but the idea is market to the 18-34 crowd that watch Adult Swim. I would say that was what was open to them, there are other companys wanting to target this group as well. Besides its just for name recognition, they don't care what the show is about just as long as people hear and see that Scion emblem.

Scion seriously needs to hire me as the WTF go to guy. I can tell them WTF they are doing stupid, WTF they need to do design wise to sell cars & WTF we as consumers actually want.
I have NO idea were they are getting the info they claim is from consumers but after looking at that cartoon, I have a good idea! The guys head must be up an @ss. Makes sense now! They started out SOOOOO good. Now they have a bunch of hipster idiots running the marketing deparment. A sad joke as they just do not "get it" anymore.
