Default Kumho Ectsa ASX 225/60VR15 Questions

Hi everyone I have a set of Kumho Ectsa Spt tires on my Xa which I love but they are now discontinued. I'm thinking of replacing them with Ectsa Asx 225/60VR15 tires. Will I encounter any rubbing issues? Any feeling about these tires? Thank You

Just lto let you know, that tire you want to run is almost two inches taller then stock. I really think your going to run into a lot of rubbing. I could be wrong but, the math don't lie. " WH+D=a/25.4= inch"

I'm a bit confused the stock tires are 185 15 60 so how are 225 15 60 any taller.? Aren't they just wider?

yup wider, not taller, 65 or 70 would be taller, but I also don't think a 225 will fit a stock rim. The rim would probably need to be 7-71/2 or 8 if I'm not mistaken

It would fit the wheel just fine. The differance is in the overall hiegth. The 185/60/15 is 23.74" inchs tall and the 225/60/15 is 25.63" inchs tall. The 225/50/15 is 23.85" inchs tall and this is why I suggest the 50 over 60. I would just hate to see anyone buy something that won't work like they would want it to. The series number is a percentage of the width and not a set hieght.

WAY too big. 225/50 would work, but there's no real point in going that wide. 205/50 or 205/55 are a good choice.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Here you can check it out for yourself on this site and compare the stock tire with the one you want to run, I am running 205/55/15 and it rubs in the back, but I am on an after market rim and I think the offset is what is causing the issue, I think on a stock rim I would have been fine
