New wheels , fender rolling bumb stop saga
So now I got my new wheels, and they rubbed, so I got my fenders rolled and that rub went away, well I have a new rub. It seems my combination of Tenzo springs and Monroe shocks (5870's not made for the XB but another toyota has a shorter body which was said to be ok on the forums here), have eliminated any kind of a bumpstop mechanism for my rear axle.
So now if I have any weight in the rear and I go over a decent size bump my tires hit the top of the fender well bottoming out.
So my question is what serves as the bump stop ,the springs? I noticed that the tenzo springs I have , do not have dead coils like some other brands where could serve as a bumpstop, or is it the shock that serves as the bump stop?

Originally there is a bump stop on the shock. Since the shield on the Monroe's is metal I have no idea if it has some or not. But I ran them, and the tires will lay into the fenders long before it sits on any possible bump stop.

I'm having the same problem. i'm running a 205 50 16 tire and it's way to tall of a tire for me! I'm going to have to get a size or two smaller tire and i'm going to have to camber my wheels. I'm like spider if I have more than one person in the car i drag like crazy.
