Default Car got egged again, too bad I know who did it.

I was at a party the other night and all I hear is. "THE HOUSE JUST GOT EGGED" so I run outside and my buddy paul's like dude they got you're car. So right now i'm like F#%! not a again(my cars been egged before). But w.e. I grab some paper towels some water and start cleaning it up with my buddies help when I realized that the eggs chipped the shh out of my A-Pillar area. Now these retards come around for a second go and actually get out of their car (they were drunk, yes drinking and driving teen agers how stupid are they?). Now I might not be in the right state of mind atm either, so I get PIST. I mean someone was about to get murdered pist, I pop my trunk, Grab my torque wrench, a buddy of mine grabs the big butt tire iron I got layin next to my wrench and we start heading at them. When they realized how pist I was and that I was holding a nice 2 foot 20 lb torque wrench in my hand along with my buddy they jump in their car and bolted. My gf jumps in her car and starts chasing them cuz her house got egged so now shes pist too (she wasn't drunk, i would have chased them but I ain't stupid enough to drink and drive) and manage to get the license plate number and find out who it was, she heads over to the persons house and sure enough, its them. So now here I am, with the touch up paint trying to make it look okay deciding what I should do about these guys. Any ideas.

^^ what do I have to do to do that? We were gonna call the cops but we didn't think it would be a good idea considering the state alot of people were in. How would we prove it?

I'm only 18 so I've never had to do something like this.

File a report, get a quote for a custom paint job, then send them a bill.

Call the local police, non emergency number and tell them you would like to file a report that your car has been egged. You will need that if you want to get insurance involved anyway. You can tell them as little or as much as you want, but it sounds like with underage drinking you might want to leave that part out.... I don't know

^^ yea that's really the reason we didn't call the cops. Otherwise we would have. Isn't there a certain amount of time that you have to file a report after an incident?

Yes.

You should try to be filling a 'Destruction of Private Property' charge.

I've had friends fire warning shots when drunk kids show up to egg.

They quickly stop that bull____ when a .357 is blasting skyward.

I bet that would have really made things better. Drunk kids with guns vs drunk kids with eggs!

Not everyone defending their car from property damage is intoxicated. In fact, this individual is a police officer.

It's well within our rights in a Castle Doctorine state.

Just file a report, man. Like what's been said: you can call the non-emergency number, or just drop by the station. Seems like you have a few witnesses. However, it may not end in a conviction/arrest but it'll sure give those guys responsible a warning. Good luck. (Oh, yeah. Try not to steer any conversation of you guys drinking when you do file a report )

it is destruction to private property just like what was said before. You will want a copy of the report also for your records. If you have full coverage insurance, then you shouldn't pay a thing. Your not going to be able to prove who actually did it. They can just denie the whole thing. Plus most insurance companies will not take the statement from a friend or someone who you have personall contact with. Also when you do the police report ask if there is a "statute of limitations" on reporting something like that.

Call the police tell them you car was vandalized....All you have to say is you saw the car and this is the license plate. You dont need to mention you were intoxicated or anything else like that. Just tell them cars and houses were vandalized and you saw the people do it. end of story.
