I have been searching the boards for the past few hours trying to find out about this setup. My main question is wheather or not you have to paint the steelies to get that nice shine. I am trying to get my wheels to look like this white xB half way down the page. ( https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=111710 )

I have also found members who waxed there wheels? Is this what i need to do. What do i need to do to get that look?

Yep. Clean the wheels up real nice and wax em.

 

Even if you paint 'em with something extra glossy, they'll still get dirty quick depending on so many factors. Be ready to wash 'em frequently.

 

Also keep in mind that Chrome trim rings will rust on you. Try to get some Stainless Steel ones off ebay or something.

The 'teeth' on the trim rings can also scrape up the steel wheels like crazy and introduce lots of new rust spots (in my experience). Use 'em at your own risk!
