Default 155/80R15

Anyone ever run P155/80R15's?

I'm considering the BFG Radial T/A's, but I'm trying to figure out whether 155/80 or 195/60 is more prudent. I know it's not unreasonable to run a stretched tire, and either size would be taller than the stock 185/60s.

Ultimately, my question is, has anyone run that narrow a tire on the stock steelie? I don't want to push my luck, or make my local tire shop think I'm insane.

I'm also contemplating the Kumho Ecsta ASX's in either 195/60 or 205/55, but I'd prefer the look of the raised-letter BFG's. It would go better with my faux-Bonneville theme.

no matter what brand tire you go with, you can have white letter tires. Auto Zone etc sells paint pens that are made for tires.
here are my Kumho's with painted letters.

I've heard those Duplicolor paint pens were really lousy, which is why I hadn't been entertaining that option.

I have no idea, mine were done with just a regular white paint pen from the craft section at WalMart, I think I only had to touch them up once. They held up really good, I was surprised. .

That would figure. Duplicolor products seem to be hit and miss, anyway. Odds are, your way cost half as much, too.
