we spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on our car... why? aside from making our car look even better than it is, what motivates you to buy what u bought for your car?

everytime my girlfriend upsets me, i spend money on my car. i must say..... my car is looking pretty damn good right now... and since we just broke up... turbo!

 

I don't really know what it is but everytime I buy something new for my car, I get excited. Like when i buy a new pair of shoes or something

Im always trying to be different than most tC's out here in Miami, which isn't hard since a great majority of them are running intake/exhausts and atleat 1 rice mod.

 

i mod my tC to fix things that i don't like about it or to improve its usefulness to me. for instance, i didn't like the wheezing, constricted sound of the engine, so i opened it up with intake and exhaust. i didn't like the mushy brake pedal feel, so i upgraded to stainless steel braided lines and pads with more bite. i didn't like the tucked-in look of the wheels, so i bought wider ones with a lower offset to bring them closer to flush. every mod i've done is about adding to the original design to make the car a more pleasing daily driver for me.

 

I mod cause i like the feeling of working on cars. I get a feeling of satisfaction unbolting stuff and getting dirty... Yea sounds weird but its just a hobby of mine... im pretty much done with things i can do myself and im most likely done with modding (need to save money since i plan on moving out)

 

it's addicting.

haha as long as you got spare money to spend, what better way is there to spend it than your own.

 

I mod the box cause it sets me apart from others...People know me around here (my town and the surrounding ones)...It brings me a LOT of satisfaction doing something new...I'm proud to drive my car It's my project.

I really dont know why I do it. I tried to get away once and just to get back into it. I told my wife when we 1st bought the xB that I just wanna lower it and put wheels on it. WELL.........didnt turnout that way. lol. It is addicting, but being active with the community kinda makes you push it. Now my xB only gets driven like once every 2 weeks and its usually either a meet or show. lol. My wife hates the fact that I wanna get a 3rd car and my choice is either a 96 S-10 single cab, 91 CRX si, 95 GSR. I will end up fixing those up too unless she says get a Toyota Previa or a Chevy Cavalier. lol.

 

To beat Cars that cost 3x the amount of mine!The Look on there faces when you spank em....priceless...for everything else there's mastercard....LOL
