So I had a wonderful drive from Los Angeles to Seattle and back last week. Beautiful scenery and hot, sunny weather the entire time.

And the best part of all - I got the job!

I did a couple of weeks ago. Some other SL members wanted to get together, but I was on a tight schedule. I did the drive up in 20 hours, got 8 hours of sleep, had a 4-hour interview, and then hopped in the car to start driving back immediately. The return trip was about 20 hours also. Besides, I didn't take the tC. I decided to drive a rental.

I love Seattle & Nor-Cal, they're my favorite parts of the US. LA isn't too bad either

 

Seattle is a great city. I also especially enjoyed the portion of California north of Redding.

 

so this means that your moving up there? man and i never got to see the tC around and yet you live very close to me LOL

 

No, I'm not moving. The position is in LA, but they had me go all the way to Seattle for the interview.

 

Congrats on the job. I always like the drive thru northern Cali,, a buddy used to live in Redding, so I was down there every summer, hanging out on Lake Shasta.

Yeah, I'm glad too. I was expecting rain, but it ended up being 95+ degrees.

 

Yeah, it's weird like that. I'm about 2.5 hours west of Seattle over on the Olympic Peninsula. We get around 17-19 inches of rain per year, as compared to Seattle's 40+, but I like living up here more than SoCal, only cuz there aren't so many people...and it's clean.
