The tC sports coupe, entering its fifth model year, posted May sales of 5,166 units. The xD reported all-time best-ever sales of 4,337 units.

My state has the highest gas prices in the US averaging like 4.36 or something like that. which is stupid since my state exports oil! in my area i think its like $4.30 now

Local gas stations where I live are hovering around just under the $4.00(for regular unleaded) mark. The local news has been interviewing local gas station owners and they all keep saying "I'm not gonna be the first guy in town to put a 4 in front of that number, I'm gonna hold out as long as I can..."

So yea... I'm waiting for that magic moment here. I'm wouldn't be surprised if the US switched to metric for gas just to get the actual number on the signs back down to $1.**. Once it passed $3.78 that made it $1.00 per liter.



To be more on topic though, I think the style of the new xB helped that a lot. A part of me hates it because I don't like driving the same thing everyone else has, but lately I'm kinda happy since they dropped NBM from the line in favor of Stingray so I guess that will make my color less common. :-D

 

^ Same here I'm quite happy the NBM was dropped. I'll be driving a very "rare" Xb2 Good job for toyota/scion for still going strong in this time of Recession (yes we are in one).

Also gas prices around here are hovering in the $3.8x range.

 

i live out by round lake and the gas there is about $4.10. Chicago gas is like $4.50 or so.

 

Up in North Dakota we r 3.84 a gallon so kinda cheap :

 

close its a subaru sambar 1991 4wd
for off road the suzuki carrys are prefered but for in town / normal use the subbies are better(rear engine VS mid engine)

 

back on topic the importers do not seem to import the XB2 much into bc (the others are not allowed right now)

I just read last month how toyota quarter or month was bad. But maybe this is in comparison vs overall car sales. I freakin hate anything that reqires gas.
I'm going to put that in my sig from now on i think.....?

Didn't the "slightly tweaked" 08 come out about June 07? I believe the other models were similarly timed?

If so then this might have had an effect on sales then between people waiting for the new model year and Toyota not putting new units on the lot while waiting for 07's to sell out before putting 08's on the lot...

I believe this year they released the new model year earlier than last year which could account for some of the difference...
