Default Need some convincing.

I'm really wanting to do the 15X8 0 offset thing, but I'm still not sure if I should. I've also looked at 15X7's with a 10 offset.

Right now I have 15X7 gold Maxxim screeches at a 35 offset. I'm kicking myself for going this route now. I love how they look, but I really love that big lip look.

Heres some problems though. I want to keep the color the same. The drag dr20's are the same style and color, but can I get them in a 15X8? I've seen 15X7 10 offset. 002 don't list gold as a color choice. Along with other sportmax's.

Should I grow a pair and just go with the 15X8. Can I achieve the same look by going a different route? Can someone just give me a verbal beating, so I can get some damn wheels ordered!

Here's my setup so far.

Goldlines, otg rear spacers, echo front struts.

I plan on getting the fenders rolled and if needed camber shims.

Gold 002's are discontinued. You might find some 501's that are 15x8 +15 offset. Nice size lip but not quite 002 lip.

I found some 002 in gold. There a 16X8 0 offset. I think I'm going to jump in these.

On my other site there are a set of Work DH's for sale with a nice lip and flush offset for a decent price. I would post the link but that site isn't working right now. Don't know whats up.

Anyway. A +0 offset on 8" wide wheels fits nice and looks good.

How much do you have to spend? Check out www.memoryfab.com and www.rbwheels.com. They both have nice sets of JDM wheels that are budget friendly. And not SProtmax's(you all knew that was coming, LOL)

Yeah I seen those Works listed on here also. I considered it, but I really don't want to deal with getting them fixed.

The 002 are new and the color I want. Plus the price is right.

Would a 205/40/16 be a good tire size to go with?

I was looking through tires on tirerack.com. Their selection for 195/45/16 was like one brand of tire. I figured a 205/40/16 might be some what comparable to those.

Is the hood gapped like that from the fenders being spaced?

Oldskools look nice metro!

most of that gap, is from a bad fitting bBist CF hood.

205/40 would work perfectly! that was going to be my next size tire choice if the 195/45 were out of stock.

Oh and yea that hood is just a bad hood. I got it from someone and the fitment is horrible.

Only problem is now with those short azzed tires you got a huge wheel gap back like with stock springs. I would have went with some 195/60s on those 8"ers.

^^^I think you are right cause when I mounted them to the Box, something looked odd! The sidewall looked short and I figured that I can go a bit taller to fill that gap in. The problem is that Wheelsnext.com didn't offer that tire size you recommended, so I had to go with their recommendation cause of the wheel/tire package deal.
Maybe next year, I'll buy taller tires to make it look better. This year I can't cause I have a road trip I'm doing in 2 weeks to Memphis...

Btw, I noticed that this tire/wheel combo is shorter than the stock steelie size...

Yeah, I noticed that wheelsnext chooses to not offer that many tire sizes. That was why I've passed on getting pkgs. from them. Or end up having to buy just the rims and get the tires from another source.
