Shims and Spacers
Can you use shims and spacers on the same wheel?
If I have an 18x7.5" wheel with a +40 offset can I put a 5 mil spacer on the fronts and run a 10mil shim and 5mil spacer on the rears? That would put me at +35 front adn +25 rear, which seems like it should be close to flush with the fender lip. Any thoughts?
*EDIT: This is for an xB.

Depending on how thick the pad oif the wheels is, I have found that the thickest spacers in the rear that can be used is 3mm. Well, for my Buddy Club wheels anyway.
If you want 15mm in the rear, I would go w/ H&R spacers, kinda pricey, but worth it when you consider your life and others. Or you could even go 25mm in the back to flush them out.
Or, if you just want 10mm in the rear, go with the One Ton Garage spacers that Van makes.

Also, does having a lip on the wheel effect how much farther the wheel sticks out?
Confused in Illinois
custom wheels spacers are not cheap, and if you buy cheap ones there is a reason for it....ive never understood why people are willing to save a buck when this piece is attached to the WHEEL, the rolling piece on your car. i mean i understand cheap bodykits, paint stereos and suck, but that isnt gonna kill you if it fails its job.....
i have a motosports technologies in grand terrace cali will make you whatever you want and i htink they are about 50 for each one, but that all depends on what you want, they will even make them hubcentric for your hub, as well as the wheel you are plannig to run
