Hotchkis sway bar front and rear set...
I've heard and now seen them available through different sources. Their website still says, they're still in development...but yet you can purchase through other outlets??? (possible out dated info)
But neway, has anyone purchased these yet?
I can't remember...but I believe someone on a similiar thread, made the comment about how the thickness of the hotchkis bar doesn't compare to a lot of their other competitors. Does the thickness really matter? :?:
I'm not looking to take an aggressive turn at 60mph, but would like the satisfaction knowing that if I could, 'she' would hold on tight around a turn. And since they're offering both front and rear, I thought it would be nice to have a matching set, and the addition of the strut tower to finish off the suspension for the time being.
I figure: sway bars | strut tower | the possibility of upgrading the struts and shocks ...still looking for another co. out there, beside TRD | will finish up the suspension ugrades, so I can move on to the exterior mods.

Yeah, the thickness matters most on the Rear swaybar. The Hotchkis was thicker than stock (19mm ) and the TRD (23mm) I think if my memory serves me best, its 27mm for the hotchkis bar.
I found this info on www.hopupracing.com
I have heard from a friend of mine who worked with a toyota racing team that the front bar shouldn't be hard much at all with front wheel drive. The hopup front bar is 24mm and both front and rear have two adjustable positions. So, I'd say the if you're wanting more options along with better stiffness, get something like the Hotchkis kit.
The thickness = stiffer bar, thus less flex in the suspension.
It also matters what kind of material the bar is made of. Typically its some sort of steel, or carbon steel. Carbon steel is a hardener type.
Other than that, I do not know enough to judge what brand would be the best. I haven't really compared all of the types.
If you could put a list of the links to the diff. brands, that would help.
Good luck -

I was refering to the tC. But from the looks of the "poster", he was refering to a 'box'.
Or maybe all this X-mas shopping is beginning to take its toll on me!?!?!

yeah the tC doesn't have a swaybar for the front yet. But I heard it is already made, but not available to the public yet. We will have to wait and see, I already ahve a price for installaiton for it too. Not an easy job to install, I have seen the underbelly of the tC and it looks like hell.

about 175.00 for the installation of the front and rear. Since everyone is buying the rear thats all I have been installing, so that price is $30 bucks. My prices on installs are very resonable and poeple love hangin out at the scion central. Always a scion here.
Okay so whos gonna offer it when they do come out?
I'm willing to be one of the 1st buyers! I love the way my tC has turned out after I lowered it with the TEINs, but now its time to finish what I started.
Their camber kit would also be on my list, I can already see problems occuring with the tow. I'm choosing not to redeem this until Hotchis releases their camber kit.
You win some, you lose some! But you live to fight another day! :D
btw: anyone know the availability on their strut tower brace?

So you guys think I should get it aligned as best as possible in the mean time? You guys don't think waiting until Jan. is gonna fly huh? The toe is just a bit off to erk me, it doesn't really aggressively pull to one side or the other, but it is pulling slowly. I guess help a little bit, is better then nothing helping it at all. :?
I'll have to wait till the weather gets better. Since last nights forecast called for wet weather, and a chance for snow, I've parked the tC in the garage, and sure enough its already begun to snow (lightly at best), but I don't want to chance any unforeseen accidents.
I'll get it checked asap! :D
Thanks for the little update 'Hotchis'...keep us posted!

To be smart about the whole issue, I'll be taking it in too our alignment shop we use to have our 'dealer' trucks done at.
I would hate to have to pay for any unnecessary repairs...
