Hard-Packed snow can be as slippery as ice. Once it gets packed down enough, and then it gets really cold, it freezes into, guess what, ICE.

But glad ur ok, just be more careful in the snow

I agree. My tC saw its first snow day today. And my car was basically an oversized sled. The tires are great, just completely useless in snow. I am looking into snow tires, and I am NOT happy about the amount I have to spend.

So if your sneakers have poor grip and you slip and fall down a flight of stairs (and hopefully get hurt real bad), you can go blame your mom for dropping you on your head when you were a baby, and you being the way you are?

I'd never buy firestone/bridgestone. Get some studded tires just for winter. It's good for your life.

what the hells ur problem..i was saying that its not the tires fault...he hit hte brakes on snow..thats something the tires cant handle. no tire can. and no my mom didnt drop me on my head. hes the one puttin it out in all huge quotes and when i saw the topic i thought something was defective about bridgestones, which they arent. so i jsut replied its not the tires fault. quit being an @$$

no one is arguing that it wasnt the "snow". People are just saying that the potenzas performance in snow compared with other tires (including other performance) is very poor.

Again, I wasnt expecting good snow traction from performance tires to begin with, but these are actually poorer than anticpated.

uhhhhhhh "performance tires" dont always mean "snow tires" there...what rock u been hidin under. bridgestones are great tires. thats why they charge a premium for them. sorry they arent tractor tires in the snow like youd like them to be maybe youd like to buy some tractor tires for ur tC...see now thats a response like how u put? hows that sound? see dont be an @$$..

It means that your a fool for falling down and I should have video taped you! Lighten up there sparky. The tires in this situation are not to blame in this situation, Speed seems to have played a role in here. So you might want to lighten.

Studed tires work great in the snow and should be already on your ride if you live in the snowy area already. You should know this already, I live in cali and I am ready for an earthquake, so you should be ready for the snow.
