Default square wheels...

So I'm just throwing this out there, but what do you guys think of putting the squarish wheels off of the nissan cube on a box? I know they're 4-lug, but other than that I have no idea if they'll fit...

don't know if they'll fit... but I'm not a big fan of how they look anyways. Plus they're tiny

Like the above poster stated, too small. And what's a small wheel if it doesn't have a nice lip on it!

It was just a thought. I was thinking about wheels and came up with something different that might go with a box. That's all.

Dang, I knew they'd figure out some way to mess it up.

Uh, how exactly is making it a hybrid 'messing it up'?

Mod-ability to the drivetrain mostly. I'm sure it will be even slower than it would have been if they left it regular.
Plus being a hybrid will surely make it more expensive.

Drivetrain modifications are overrated. Good gas mileage is the mod of the future. The cost of hybrid technology is decreasing, and they're not that slow. The Prius, for instance is quick enough, and it's happier at 80 than the box is.

from what I remember, there's an electric motor driving the rear wheels, providing extra traction, but it doesn't help acceleration because it is powered by an engine driven generator. Nissan might be changing it up for the US market to make it a little quicker. Car and Driver tests list it as taking 13.3 seconds to get to 60...

I wonder what kind of engine will it get. The current 4 cylinder engines from Nissan are full of failure and AIDS. In other words, FAIDS. Hahaha! Yeah. Head gasket failures & countless problems.

I wish they still had the good old SR20DE motor around. That was one hell of a reliable motor. But yeah. Nissan had to go & get rid of it. (;o; )

But yeah. I'm with the rest of the guys. Those wheels are not going to look good on the xB.

It's true though. I'm back to a stock exhaust, and I'm considering going back to the stock airbox. I'm keeping my header to help with highway, but otherwise, those people getting 40MPG with their snorkel removed have the right idea.

Not that I'm bothered by the fact that this thread became a discussion about the nissan cube, but to get slightly back on topic...

I guess I should have said, "What do you think about putting wheels that have a squarish design, or that are more angular, as opposed to more typical wheels?"

the nissan cube was an example.

Go.
