Default Emergency Chains/ Cables question for my wheels/tires

I have xB 2005, I have 215/45/17 tires on 17" rims...I dont know what their offset is or even their make / model
I will describe them....they are 5 spoke, black with flat silver finish on outside of spokes, black background. The hub cap is a silver embossed "M" logo.
They were offered from dealership when I bought this car, same exact rims they were offering.

I need to know if any cables/ chains will fit on the front without rubbing and killing my sides of my cars or wheel wells.
Please if anyone could help.
I need to leave by sat/ sunday to get to medford from portland and its snowing like hell here right now and need some sort of traction.
Just got new kumho ASX's mounted on the RIMS my old tires were bout to blow....

ive never had to put mine on so i cant help you there. but GL

and try not to do any sharp turns so you dont mess up your wheel wells.

Well, I got 2 sets of chain cables. one is a diagnol pattern the other is latter pattern...which is best for traction?

Also, they are sizes 1030 for diagnol and 1034 for ladder style......

I dont know how but they say they both fit my tire / rim size.
The diagnol set was 70$ and the ladder 30$....
Both came with cable tighteners.

Also, someone tell me how to spell diagnol its just not comin to me right now ROFL!
