what K is the factory headlights?
the headlights not the brights... i'm wanting to know because i'm getting HIDs and i want to know what i have now to compare to what i want to get.
The color of an 9006 bulb is measured by it's temperature, that is, Kelvin. 3,300 Kelvin, or 3300K, is the standard yellowish color that factory headlights have. Generally, the higher the Kelvin, the whiter the bulb. Pure white sunlight is about 5500K. 6000K is slightly blue (except on true H.I.D.'s and Angel Eyes, where they are pure white to the naked eye). 8000K is very blue, and 10,000K is even more blue. 25,000K is purple in appearance. Colors such as red, and green are usually not measured in Kelvin. Very yellow is 3000K

If you really plan on getting bulbs for now, Sylvania SilverStars are great, you'll be pleased with the color.
They are about 4000k and come as close to pure white as any bulb can. They are also pretty bright.
I've been running the SilverStars for more than a year and I'm planning to go HID pretty soon, if I can decide which kit to go with...

And yeah, you should be able to find them for your lowbeams... just check another store...
Aw, crapper... I just realized, your tC is an '08... mine is an '07... you and I have different lowbeam bulbs... my stock lowbeam is a 9006 bulb... I'm not sure what your stock lowbeam is... maybe an H11?
Look on ebay. I saw some Nokyas in H11 before.
I have Nokya Artic purple, and the light beams is very white with a tint of blue, looks great in the day and makes my stock VRD fogs look yellow. But the light output isn't great, about the same as my stock low beams were, but I hardly ever drive at night.
They look hot with fogs as DRL's.
Link for you

ive been running PIAA Xtreme White Plus bulbs in my lows and highs for over three years now, and they're still going strong.at $80 a pair they're kind of expensive, but color and output are both improved over stock. i would definitely recommend them. i ordered them directly from PIAA's website.
