any advice on how to fix small scratches and quarter size dents?

 

if the scratches are through the paint (to the metal) only way to fix it is with touchup paint. If it's more of an abrasion and just paint on paint, you can buff it out.

As for the dents, head over to the "as seen on tv" store at your local mall, and pick up one of those ding king's. you might just be surprised that they may work.
