As far as I know you HAVE to cut the lip in order to make them fit

for the OEM kit? hmm..never heard of that, I know with other lip kits you don't have to cut anything. Maybe check the other VRD threads

id just recommend trimming.
if you force it in, then its likely gonna be under stress, meaning if you hit a large bump or something, theres a greater chance that the fogs will pop out.

I've heard of some people bending the clip and forcing them in. I would cut it. It's not very difficult, and it will save you a load of trouble in the long run.

Use a large flat tip screwdriver and pry on the clip to pull it over the lip on the bumper. Be careful not to bend the clip too much. I have done this on both of my tc and it has worked good.

Kind of hard to explain. You want to put the screwdriver on the clip in between the u-shape bend then pull towards you(away from the fog light.) You will end up pulling the clip towards you and up and over the plastic lip of the bumper. May help to have someone push the foglight in from the outside as you are doing this. Hope this helps.

Yea thats the part where you have to force the clip up and over the plastic clip.

whoa loctite? will that even work in that situation?I thought that stuff only worked on bolts and screws?

either way..if thats your solution just to trim the lip. I can't see a reason not to.

If you're, for whatever reason, concerned about resail value just part out the lip and sell it on the forums as a lip precut for VRD fogs.

Trying to glue the crap out of the fog onto the car might become more trouble than its really worth

To fix the clip you can bend the little tab of metal more so the clip will stay on the light. I had to do that on one clip and if you need a larger groove just cut a deeper cut into the light itself with a dremel.
