the higher the "K" you go, the less output you get making it dimmer. I saw a riced out civic 2 nights ago with "BLUE" HIDs, it had to of been 10-12k, he was probally better putting 2 candles in his headlights since it might shine more light than what he had.
if you MUST get an HID kit, at least get 5-6k so you can see at night, even 8k is too much blue.
HID kits
I've tried 4300K and they were too yellow. I think 6000K (white with a slight hint of blue) is the best as far as looks and functionality. To answer the post, the blue HIDs are anywhere between 8000K and 10000K. See color chart below.

^^ Chill! I never said 4300K was the worst. What I was saying is if you wanted BOTH looks and functionality, then your best pick would be 6000K because anything higher than that would be the same as driving around with a pair of blacklights. Sure, 4300K has the most lumens, therefore are the brightest, but I don't like the yellow hue that they emit.

"Pull me over blue" ≠ 10000k
I believe the "pull me over blue" are tinted blue bulbs
4300 is the brightest, 5000k is the whitest.
i personally wouldn't go past 6000k just because i like it cleaner and i want my headlights to be functional on the road rather than for just show.
