most likely it wont do that. alot, if not all windshields now have a lamination in/on them so they dont shatter everwhere. the only thing id worry about is water getting in the crack, freezing, and making it worse.

i ended up gettiing my windshield cracked also like 5 months ago, and i got it replaced from my insurance (geico) for 50 bucks deductible. and its oem, took them like 30 mins to installed and 1 hour wait for glue to set in. and they came to my house also, so i didnt have to make no drive.

dont go through your insurance, cause they possibly may raise your coverage costs, your looking at maybe 150 to 200 bucks for a good job

I have a few chips, one is getting bigger even tho I put a "sticker" thing on it right after it happened. Went to a local glass place and they quoted me $500 with install.

I'm hoping the next rock comes off a company truck and then I can get them to pay for it

thats the only thing im worried about if i do go threw insurance my coverage will go up over sumthing so dumb. i jus need to go to the junkyard and check it out i know there plenty of wrecked tC's there.

and weather would play a factor. if water gets in there from rain or watever then if its FREEZING it would expand and crack it even more i need to check it out and see wat i can do ugh

i doubt your insurance would go up over a cracked windshield. Its under comprehensive damage.

ok, i work for mygrant glass company, its one of the biggest wholesalers of glass in america. First off, never replace your windshield with used glass, its against the law for a shop to do it, and usally the vehical the glass came out of when in a major accident that may have put tons of micro cracks in the glass, which you can't see, but really mess with structure of the glass. that being said do you want to replace the galss with something close to oem(there is no oem relpacement windshield for the tc in america), the closest we get to an "oem" windshield is a plk brand. and thats not just with my company, thats with every place in the usa you go to to get your windsheild replaced, that one should cost no more then 160 installed. If you want to go with an aftermarket replacement I sugegest you use and fyg brand windshield, there like 2/3 the price of the plk, and fit just as good, and the fyg brand should cost no more then 125 installed out the door. also you need to know if the shop you are taking it to is going to replace the molding, its like 25 bucks more to replace the molding on the windshield, and it usally better then the shop trying to dick with the old moding and mickey mousing it back on. and I know this doesn't help the person who started this tread, but anyone who needs there windsheild replaced, pm me and can give you the number of someone in your area that does great work, usally at really good prices.
