one of the headlights went out on my brothers car when he turns on the headlight the bulb does nothing but if he turns on his high beams and then turns them off again the bulb flickers a couple times i dont know if it is either the bulb or the ballast

takeout the bulb on the bad side put it in the good side and try turning it on if it turns on its the ballast if it doesnt its the bulb

 

I think that the ballast is the problem because if it flickers it's onviusly not out.

hey shadow does it happen everytime? if it does then yeah it's the ballast. it might not be getting power.

 

yea thanks for your guys helps i didnt think about switching bulbs but it venom it does flicker all the time but shouldnt it do it when you turn your headlight on too then its just when he goes high beams to low beams

 

Good point, have you tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in?

 

yea i did that left it unplugged for a couple of minutes plugged everything back in .....same result

 

if you got them at a shop there should be warranty available
